Marvel vs DC: Black Widow vs Black Canary

Black Canary vs Black Widow
As I’ve stated many times over, DC is better than Marvel. Or at least that’s what I believe, and I am making it my goal to make you believe this as well. Or at least get a debate going! So here’s what I propose, in honour of Iggy Azalea and Rita Oras Black Widow song we’re going to match up two power house femme fatales against one another. Marvel’s Black Widow and DC’s Black Canary.

Black Widow
All adaptions of Marvel’s Black Widow’s (Claire Voyant, Natalia and Natasha Romanoff, Monica Chang, and Yelena Belova) had one thing in common, being deadly assassin’s. She’s a perfect acrobat, gymnast, trained in various martial arts, highly intelligent, and a weapons specialist. Let’s just say you don’t want to run into her in a dark alleyway. Her body was physically enhanced to stop her from aging, getting diseases, and making her stronger; thus turning her into a superhuman. She’s an excellent spy, a master seductress and can hack almost anything.

Black Canary
A key member of the Justice League, Black Canary has a sonic scream so powerful she’s been known to overpower The Silver Banshee. However, she rarely ever uses it as she is skilled in multiple forms of hand-to-hand combat, and tends to fight stronger opponents just to prove that she can. As one of the only superheroes that prefers to use skill over powers, she’s trained with boxer Wildcat to perfect her craft. Defeating the likes of Amazon warriors on a good day, Black Canary is so skilled that she has even been known to defeat Batman in combat! This allows her to sit at the big table with Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern, however she prefers to do things her own way by solving crime fists first questions later.

Sorry Black Widow, but this hands down goes to the Canary. You may be a master spy, but there’s nothing Black Canary can’t do.

Who do you think should win?
