Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron

I just had a huge geek out moment when I watched the leaked trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. So obviously I have to talk about it.

Although I believe DC to be superior to Marvel in every way, I can still appreciate that Marvel has some good movies. And I’m super excited for this one. Even though Ultron is Marvel‘s version of DC‘s Brainiac, I can admit that he looks pretty badass in this trailer. And I’m sorry, but was that the Hulkbuster armour that Tony Stark is wearing? Yep. I just died and went to Heaven.

Now we’ve got to talk about this, Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch have been added to the cast, played by Godzilla‘s Aaron Taylor Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen. Their characters were teased in the end credits of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Let’s break this down geek style real quick. So these two mutants are the off spring of the legendary Magneto (who, next to Storm, is my favourite Marvel character ever!). Quicksilver has the power of super speed while Scarlet Witch can manipulate reality. To be honest, she’s probably one of the most powerful mutants out there, along with her father, Charles Xavier, Storm, and Jean Grey.

For the purpose of the Marvel franchise, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch have no association with mutants or Magneto, solely because they could not get the rights from Fox. So it will be interesting to see how their powers will come into play. Are they experiments? Aliens? Using magic? Like seriously, so many questions. This movie can’t come out fast enough.
