Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron- Who is Vision

So as many of you probably know, the third trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron came out some time ago. And while it was beyond epic, there was one particular Easter egg that got me overjoyed, and has had many people ask me: Who is Vision?

Vision is an android in the Marvel universe that battles between being artificial and wanting to be human. Think Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Vision falls in love with Scarlett Witch and has the power to discharge energy from his optic beams, which in itself is pretty cool.

marvels-avengers-age-of-ultron-who-is-visionNow you know this wouldn’t be a typical post of mine without comparing this to DC, since everything Marvel did was to copy the clearly superior DC (I’m talking comics here and not films btw). Ultron is Marvel’s version of DCs Brainiac, who was created in 1958 while Ultron in 1968. Both are artificial intelligence with a quest to purge the world (aka humanity) and gain knowledge. Except let’s face it, Brainiac is MUCH better. Then there’s Vision, Marvel’s version of DCs Doctor Fate, Martian Manhunter, or even Red Tornado in personality. Take your pick.

Either way, the fact that this trailer hints towards Vision is pretty exciting! You can spot him right at the end of the trailer when he opens his eyes. My only question is who’s going to create him? Will they follow the comic (unlikely since the film’s made Tony Stark create Ultron- WTF?!) and have him created by Ultron or will they go with the flow and have Tony Stark create him?
