#StrongIsBeautiful: NFL Players Doing Their Daughters’ Hair

Well isn’t this just the cutest thing you’ve seen all day? Pantene enlists some A-list talent to promote their “Strong Is Beautiful” campaign. Hoping to focus on the importance of father and daughter relationships. #DadDos

Just in time for Super Bowl Sunday, Pantene signed on three NFL all-star players: Pittsburgh Steelers’ DeAngelo Williams, New Orleans Saints’ Benjamin Watson and Dallas Cowboys’ Jason Witten for a series of how-to hair videos. Each player participates in creating fun hair styles for their daughters, and while some ultimately fail (ballerina buns anyone?) this is literally so freaking adorable.

As someone that’s very close with my father, I absolutely loved this campaign. My dad has been known to do my hair once or twice when I was a child, and while he wasn’t always the best at it, it was our time together that always stuck out to me.

Pantene stated in a press release for the campaign that: “Research shows that quality time spent with dads is key in raising daughters who are more self-confident, self-reliant and more successful in school and in their careers”. Going on to state that: “The quality time spent with their daughters now will foster the next generation of strong and beautiful women.” Amen!

And while the idea of #DadDos isn’t new by any means, I love that this campaign is trying to highlight the importance that fathers have in their daughters lives and that no matter what people say, being a dad that’s there for their daughters is the most badass thing you can do as a man.
