xXx: Return of Xander Cage Trailer Review

We’ve waited 11 years for the return of the action packed badassery that was the original xXx film. And with Vin Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson back in the driver seat, what more could we ask for?

Thankfully, Diesel and moviegoers alike took a pass on the 2005 sequel xXx: State of the Union because it looked, well, awful. But the squad is back in this third installment as Cage is brought back by Jackson to battle it out with Xiang (Donnie Yen) and his army who’ve stolen an unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box.

And just as the first xXx film was similar to the first Fast and Furious film (although xXx came out before Brian O’Conner had to go under cover and infiltrate Dom’s crew), this film takes after Fast 5, where Cage has to bring together his own crew of misfit toys to take down Xiang. Seems like this theme of fighting a bad guy with another kind of bad guy is something that Diesel is comfortable with. But hey, if it ain’t broke right?

I’m beyond stoked about this film! Mainly because I love action and I’m excited about all the cameos and characters that’ll be featured. First of all, can we have a moment of silence for how bad ass Donnie Yen is going to be? Second, I can’t wait to see Ruby Rose kick ass, I don’t even watch Orange is The New Black, but there’s something that’s so cool about this girl! She seems like she’ll fit in with this crowd nicely.

The film also features Nina Dobrev and Toni Collette. However, who came as the biggest shock value for me? Neymar! Neymar! NEYMAR! I’m sorry but, damn that man is sexy. I don’t care if he’s only in the film for half a second, I will be there opening night just to see him đŸ˜»

Are you excited for the return of Xander Cage?
