Deathstroke Will Be Main Villain in Ben Affleck’s Batman Movie

Well, it looks like the DC films have not learned from one awful movie and a mediocre one. They’re still trying to make Justice League a thing like Marvel’s Avengers.

While Ben Affleck did a great job at playing a gritty older Batman, I’m not in the least bit excited for this Justice League film, especially after the mess that was Batman v Superman. Not even having the amazing character of Deathstroke can save them now.

Affleck posted a cryptic tweet of Deathstroke walking toward the camera in very cinematic fashion; naturally fanboys and girls alike lost our minds and were sent into a frenzy of wonder. It’s true, Slade Wilson, a.k.a. Deathstroke, will face off against Bruce Wayne! Maybe this is just what the DC cinematic universe needs, a simple premise with a gritty bad guy. Take Bats back to his roots, without all of the explosion bull shit we’ve come to expect from Zack Synder’s superhero direction.

And while I’ve got mad respect for Affleck’s talent (not only as an actor but as a director as well), I can’t help but be cautious. I really don’t have much hope for these films anymore.

So who is Deathtroke? He’s the original Deadpool. As I’ve stated many times over, most of the characters Marvel came out with were just copies (and/or samples) of original DC ones. In the case of Deathstroke and Deadpool, Marvel address how similar to characters were by naming Deadpool Wade Wilson…sound familiar?

Deathstroke is one hell of a bad ass!! In my opinion, him and Bane are the only real physical threats for the Dark Knight. So I expect to see an amazingly choreographed fight scene between the two!

Check out the clip Affleck teased below. Are you excited to see Deathstroke on the big screen?
