The last time we’ll ever see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. This is totally worth talking about.
So casting Hugh Jackman as Wolverine was a gold mine in the world of excellent superhero casting. So it’s definitely sad to know that this will be the last time we’ll see him in the iconic role. But I’m glad it’s ending with the Weapon X story line, glad that it’s ending with him and Charles, and glad that it may end on a good note (as the last 2 Wolverine movies weren’t the best).
Pretty sure there’s only one word to describe this and that’s bleak. This film is seriously breaking down all the characters that we’ve grown to love and putting them in seemingly strenuous circumstances. Gone are the days of that plush Xavier Mansion of the school for gifted children, and the X-Men. This is a desolate, post-apocalyptic landscape that has no mutants around.
This film is definitely centering around X23, a young girl who’s been experimented on and has the same powers as Logan. Oh, and did I mention that she’s also his clone daughter who was designed to be the perfect killing machine? Cause yea, that’s a thing.
It looks like the main villain’s going to be The Reavers, which I’m pretty excited about! But to be honest, I think what’s going to drive this film home will be the relationship between Charles and Logan. I’m hoping for some touching tear jerking moments guys!
What did you think of the trailer? Are you excited for this film?
