Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 Trailer Features Baby Groot!

Guardians of The Galaxy is back for Marvel phase 3, and I’m hooked on this feeling…see what I did there?

Guardians of The Galaxy was another surprising win for Marvel, and it just proves that Marvel’s cinematic universe can’t be stopped. They’re just a powerhouse to be reckoned with, and to be honest, no one can stand up to them (sorry DC cinematic world). I’m excited (albeit terrified) to see how The Infinity Wars (or whatever the films’ being named now) will tie together all the Marvel characters, including the Guardians and now Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel. While The Avengers have been teasing Thanos for so long, it’s the Guardians that have a true tie to him as both his adopted daughters, Gamora and Nebula, were in the last film and are back again for this one. Although Vision does have an Infinity stone in his head which Thanos will probably try to rip out and kill him for…so there’s that.

My favourite thing about trailers is when they don’t give too much away, so I’m excited that I have no idea what’s going to happen in this film! I don’t know who the bad guy is, I don’t know why they’re fighting, and I don’t know what the universe needs saving from; and I prefer it that way! All we get are glimpses of fun banter between the characters, some kick ass action, and scenes of returning characters like Nebula and Yondu. Plus, according to IMDb Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell and Nathan Fillion are new additions to the cast! They aren’t hurting the films chances that’s for sure. Maybe one of these guys will be Peter Quills’ father, who SPOILER ALERT is the Emperor of the Spartoi Empire.

Now this is how you make a successful film about some misfits in the larger world of comic book lore (I’m looking at you Suicide Squad).

What did you think of this teaser trailer? Are you excited for Volume 2?
