Thor: Ragnarok Teaser Trailer Review

The highly anticipated Thor: Ragnarok trailer has been released, and with it comes a whole lot of hell yea! Plus Planet Hulk anyone?!

Thor: Ragnarok sees Thor’s biggest foe yet, Cate Blanchett as the Goddess of Death. Not only does it look like she tears apart Asgard, but she absolutely shreds Thor’s hammer Mjölnir and takes him down. Thor gets sold into a gladiator like arena where he comes face to face with the one and only king Hulk! He’s dressed in his original Planet Hulk gear and I swear I died when he came busting through the doors. At first Thor was happy to see him, but that excitement quickly evaporated. Guess not ever work colleague is a friend.

thor-ragnarok-teaser-trailer-review-01Planet Hulk shows The Hulk being shipped off into space and sent to a war filled planet, where the Hulk becomes a Spartacus like hero and finally finds a home, a wife and a throne – before it’s all taken away from him by his worst enemy, humans.

However, this film probably won’t touch on any of that story. The Hulk, Thor and his new love interest Valkyrie (played by Tessa Thompson) will escape their prison to stand up against the Goddess of Death. They’ll have to take back Asgard, save Odin and go find Hemindall (Idris Elba).

I like that the trailer hints on what’s to come with certain characters but doesn’t give anything away. For example, we don’t know what Odin or Loki’s role will be. Not to mention the fact that we never saw Jaimie Alexander’s Sif in the trailer (is she even in this film?).

All in all, I’m excited for Thor: Ragnarok! Are you?
